Jeremy McConnell and Stephanie Davis 'locked in crisis talks' as pair reunite - despite him saying she was TOXIC and DEAD to him
She vowed never to go back to him - but it appears Stephanie Davis may be willing to give Jeremy McConnell another chance.
The yummy mummy has agreed to meet the Irish hunk for "crisis talks" after he jetted back into London. It comes just after Jeremy branded the mother of his only child "toxic", then claiming she was dead to him in epic Twitter rant.
A friend of the pair told The Sun Online: “Stephanie is staying in London for a few days and Jeremy is flying over to see her.
“Things between them are very tense, very raw, but ultimately they do love one another and need to make things work for the sake of Caben-Albi.
“Even if the resolution from these talks is that they will go their separate ways, Caben will always be their priority."
Jeremy is at the centre of two police probes over his relationship with Steph - and is facing an assault trial in August.
The former Hollyoaks actress, 23, appeared to be done with her on off boyfriend after posting an intimate picture to Twitter showing her cuddling up to sleeping Caben, five months, with the caption: "My one and only."
Fans were quick to rally around Steph and tell her no matter what else happens in her life, the most important thing - as she says - is her little boy.
One fan wrote: "He is a beautiful boy , and for all that's going on in your life, at least you know, you most definitely got something right there."
Another said: "That's all you need, anything else is a bonus."
Stephanie became a mum at the start of the year, giving birth to Caben-Albi in May.
Stephanie supported Jeremy when he took a break from the limelight to work on his wellbeing and, when he returned home, it seemed like they'd put the past behind them.
"The love never went away between us and we’ve both done things we regret, but hopefully this can be our fresh start.
"I finally feel like things are falling into place and we both adore Caben," Steph told Closer .
However, that happy ending wasn't to be, as it emerged over the weekend the couple had split once again, with Jeremy tweeting and deleting an angry message purported to be about the mother of his child.
Jeremy alleged: "Cuts up my whole wardrobe slags my dead parents... manipulative f***. #over.”
Stephanie has not responded to the tweet and reps for the pair have not commented.
A friend of Steph's, however, told Mirror Celebs: "For Jeremy to say this after helping him turn his life around and getting him into rehab is a major kick in the teeth.
"Stephanie supported him throughout his rehab stint publicly and welcomed him into her home after he came out. Not many people would have done that after the year she had last year with him throughout her pregnancy.
"Stephanie would never speak badly of Jeremy's parents, who she respects even though they sadly are not here, but they are Caben's grandparents and are a part of his history. Clearly Jeremy was not in a very good place at the time, but this was an all-time low blow to Stephanie."
The former soap actress jetted to Tenerife earlier this week for a break in the sunshine and was pictured looking fabulous in a striped bikini while lounging poolside.
She'll be back in the UK this week, however, for her latest Big Brother's Bit On The Side appearance; she's the Agony Aunt on Rylan Clark Neal's spinoff show , dishing out advice to housemates.
Steph is also Mirror TV's expert Big Brother columnist this series.
"I'm delighted that I get the chance to cover all the action from this year's house - in fact it's making me misty eyed thinking of my time in there - if I had my chance I'd certainly be up for going back in," she said last week.
